I ever posted about my Lombok trip before in here, so since my friend ever asked me about an itinerary in Bali which I made one too, now I think that I want to make an itinerary about my rush trip in Lombok. Well I actually have it but I didn’t write it down on my computer so I need to do that now like manually. Copy Paste doesn’t work in here. Or maybe scanner can? Anyway next time maybe. So yea I got a week off from my work in Jakarta to travel a bit in Lombok which I ever done it before about four years ago and I did it again this year, well on January to be exact. And here is my itinerary that time:
Day 1 to 3: Rinjani Mountain
Go to Rinjani Mountain, hiking to get to the top of it and stay there for one night at the top then go down on the crater, stay there one night and go back to the top then down the mountain. It takes 3 days and 2 nights to done that. I don’t think if its possible to hike this mountain by yourself but there are some trips offer for this hike. Oh yea this mountain will be closing down during rainy season, normally they close it start on December until April.
Day 4 to 6: the Gilis (Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan)

Well since you already in the North of Lombok you can go to the Gilis and decide where you gonna stay there, but suggestion if you like parties then just go to Gili Trawangan (Gili T). Sign up for snorkeling trip to get to the other Gilis too on for the Day 5, or you can just go snorkeling by yourself on the Gili Trawangan, there is a cool spot and big chance you’ll meet turtles there. Or well you can just chill out on the beach get some tan and drink some smoothies and of course party at night.
Day 6: Go South (Stop at Senggigi and also Sasak Tribe)
Finish at Gili then it’s time to go South to Kuta beach (if you still have some times), you will pass Senggigi Beach and just stop by there for an hour or two enjoy the beach a bit which used to be the main attraction for tourist but not really nowdays. If you want to shop, its better you done it in here, there is Senggigi Art Market and the price is wayy cheaper then in Kuta beach, and yes you still need to bargain to get the stuff that you want.
Finish Senggigi go South until you see the sign that mention about Suku Sasak, Desa Sade. This is the place where the Lombok culture that you can see and also unique tribe in Lombok. You can see the different houses in here, and their different culture. you can see around here and there will be a guide that can show you around. How much you need to pay? It’s up to you. Well I think $2 is enough. or you can give your guide more is okay too.
Finish in Sasak, continue your driving to Kuta beach. and maybe you can stay there for a night, or two, or up to you if you have more times and more days off.
Day 7: Explore South of Lombok
Well there are some nice beaches in the South of Lombok like Kuta beach, Tanjung Aan beach, Mawun beach and also Gerupuk beach if you are a surfer you can surf in this beach, very famous one among surfer there. And if you go around February, there will be a festival around this place called Nyale. I didn’t get a chance to see the festival yet, maybe next time I will.
So, that was all. It just an example that you can do, especially the International Airport now is close to Kuta beach compared the old one and of course you can stay longer and explore more if you have more some days off than a week. And actually I didn’t go to Rinjani that time because it was closed down for rainy season, so I can’t tell you about it yet. Well hope this one helps your trip in Lombok!
