Backpacking : Lombok – Senggigi, the Primadona of the Island (was?) & Malimbu point

The Primadona is no longer the superstar? Or still? Well whatever that is still there are some hotels remains… 5 stars hotel, 4 stars, 3 stars, 2 stars, 1 stars, no stars or thousand stars hotel (you can choose) are still around Senggigi area. Bars are around some mini markets restaurants and all night lives there too. The beach? It WAS beautiful and clear especially on sunset. you could get some perfect sunset from there. Many surfers surfing there, but now? well its still pretty much the same except many trashes and plastics everywhere (like Kuta in Bali, people in Bali said that the trashes and plastics there are coming from Java, well maybe it is true, maybe not, I don’t know, but I know many Indonesian still love littering.

I didn’t really enjoyed at Senggigi this time but I did in the first time I went there. When I was there on 2011 I stayed at the hotel that I booked online and it turned out exactly next to a club which was so noisy at night. And I could see what was going on inside it from the balcony. But the hotel was cheap, it was around $10 a night plus breakfast. Walk to the beach was close just need to cross the street and voila…. a 3 starts hotel, you need to walk in the alley next to the hotel then you’ll find the beach. The view was good and I enjoyed walk on the beach and sightseeing. here are some photos from my first trip in Senggigi:

The second time I went there I tried to catch the sunset from different spot of the beach and it cost $0.3 to got in and the sunset wasn’t really good (Actually you don’t have to pay to get in the beach, maybe I came from different part on the beach and yea, next time I’ll just gonna take the other part). There is art market on the Senggigi Beach and you can buy some souvenirs here and of course you need to bargain first. And in here still you can get wayyyy cheaper price compare to Kuta or Gili Trawangan.

Close to  Senggigi there is a good view point. you can see as long as your eyes can see to the horizon. Wide sea… well not an open sea but still wide…

Close to Malimbu there is a Hindu Temple called Pura Batu Bolong, The temple is almost like the one in Bali called Tanah Lot but smaller and this one is started exactly next to the road.

for more photos is here.
